Junior forward Chane Behanan has been dismissed from the Louisville basketball team.

Behanan was suspended earlier in the 2013-14 season for violation of team rules and missed the first month of the season.

Coach Rick Pitino said Behanan was still enrolled at the school but that it is unlikely that he would be reinstated to the team. He may transfer to another school and finish the season there, or he may begin training for the NBA combine.

Behanan saw his minutes limited this year after returning to the team, affecting his statistical production. He averaged only 7.6 points per game, down from 9.8 last season.

Pitino also mentioned in the press conference Monday that Kevin Ware may be out for the year and would likely apply for a medical redshirt. Ware suffered a gruesome leg injury in the 2013 NCAA Tournament and has been ineffective in his limited playing time this season.
