USA Basketball released on Thursday its player pool for the 2014 World Championships in Spain and 2016 Olympics in Rio De Janeiro. The list includes many familiar names, including every member of the 2012 Olympic team except for Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who recently said he doesn't want to play in the next Olympics.

Among the newcomers to the pool are Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry -- who participated in the 2010 World Championships but not the subsequent Olympic games -- Portland Trail Blazers big man LaMarcus Aldridge and Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins.

GOLLIVER: The All-Gridiron Team: NBA players who would dominate on the football field

According to Kurt Helin of ProBasketballTalk.com, Team USA coach Mike Krzyzewski said during a conference call with the media that certain players will probably not work out with the team this summer due to their ongoing rehab from injuries, a suggestion that perhaps point guards Russell Westbrook and Derrick Rose will be activated at a later date. Krzyzewski also said Pistons center Greg Monroe is among the players on the cusp of consideration who could be added later on.

For his coaching staff, Krzyzewski chose Jim Boeheim -- who is currently in the midst of an undefeated season with No. 2 Syracuse --  Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau and New Orleans Pelicans head coach Monty Williams.

The pool's newcomers are as follows, including some perhaps surprise additions, such as Washington Wizards sophomore guard Bradley Beal and veteran sharpshooter Kyle Korver of the Atlanta Hawks. Members from previous Olympic teams also in the mix for the final roster are immediately below the list of the newcomers. (Rosters via Helin):
