Demaryius Thomas wants Richard Sherman to cover him in Super Bowl
Next Sunday's Super Bowl will pit Denver's number one-ranked offense against Seattle's top-ranked defense. One possible matchup to watch will be All-Pro Seahawks corner Richard Sherman against Denver's leading receiver, Demaryius Thomas. Thomas, for one, is hoping Sherman covers him.
Speaking to reporters after practice, Thomas said he'd embrace the matchup with Sherman: "He’s a great player. I’d love to have that matchup and show what kind of player I am. I don’t know if we’ll match up, but like I said, he’s a great player.” Thomas caught 92 balls for 1,430 yards and 14 touchdowns during the regular season. Sherman led the NFL with eight interceptions.
