Ducks sign defenseman Mark Fistric to three-year extension

The Anaheim Ducks announced a three-year contract extension with defenseman Mark Fistric on Wednesday. Financial details were not disclosed by the team. Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports the deal is worth $3.8 million over the three years.

Fistric, 27, signed as a free agent prior to the 2013 season. He's produced five points, 18 penalty minutes, a +8 rating and ranks second on the Ducks in hits (123).

Since being drafted by the Stars in the first round (28th overall) in 2004, Fistric has recorded 34 points with 270 penalty minutes and a +30 rating.in  309 career NHL games.
