Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald restructured his contract, possibly freeing up almost $10 million the team can use to go after free-agents.

Details of the new deal were not available, according to NFL.com.

Fitzgerald is scheduled to make $12.75 base salary next season, and was set to count more than $18 million against the salary cap.

He will still make his full salary as the money was converted from a base to a signing bouns. Fitzgerald’s cap number will now be $24.6 million for the 2015 season because of the restructuring.

Fitzgerald, 30, caught 82 passes for 954 yards and 1o touchdowns last season for the Cardinals.
