Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher thinks quarterback Jameis Winston will be around the program for a couple of years, despite the fact Winston can bolt to the NFL next season.

Winston threw for 4,057 yards and 40 touchdowns and completed 66.9 percent of his passing attempts last season as a redshirt freshman, leading the Seminoles to the BCS National Championship and winning the Heisman Trophy.

“Everybody says he's going to stay one year and leave,” Fisher said, according to Noles 247. “Which I don't think that's true. I think it will be two.”

Winston has three years of eligibility left and has turned his focus this spring to the baseball team, where he is a pitcher.

Fisher also said that the team added five-star receivers Ermon Lane and Travis Rudolph in recruiting because they wanted to play with Winston.

“I thought Jameis did a great job in helping us recruit those guys,” Fisher said.
