Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says he is in favor of a London-based NFL team, according to Paul Higham of Sky Sports.

The Cowboys are scheduled to play the Jacksonville Jaguars in one of three NFL games at Wembley Stadium in London next season, and Jones says the city could have a franchise of its own in the near future.

"I think that's very possible and I'm very much for it ... These games will be a good indication of the type of support that we could have there, but London is one of the few cities outside of the United States that would be a great city internationally for the NFL."
