Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig says he will dial back his playing style this season in an effort to make fewer mistakes, according to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times.

Puig drew some ire in his rookie season for his spirited play, including his home run celebrations, and was chastised for being too aggressive both in the field and in the batter's box, missing throws to cutoff men and swinging at unhittable pitches.

The second-year player said he will spend spring training working on learning how to slow the game down, but he says he still wants to keep fans entertained.

"The fans go to the stadium to enjoy themselves. After work, they spend their free time watching us play. We have to do our best to entertain them... If the outfielder moves slowly to the ball, I'm going to try to take another base," [Puig] said. "The more bases we take, the more runs we can score."
