Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout says he isn't going to concentrate on possible contract negotiations this season, refusing to answer questions about a possible megadeal.

Trout, who led the American League in walks and runs scored last season, won't be eligible for arbitration until 2015 and there has been speculation that Trout could command a $300 million contract.

"I know what you guys are going to ask,'' Trout said, via ESPN.com. "I'm here to get ready for the season. I don't want to comment on the contract negotiations and stuff. I'm here to just get ready to prepare myself for the upcoming season.''

"It's just been crazy, and it's still going on,'' Trout said. "As a kid, I always wanted to be here in a place where I could compete in the big leagues. Now I'm here and I'm living it up.''
