Sandy Koufax was hit in the head by an Andre Ethier line drive at Dodgers spring training camp in Arizona on Friday, but was reportedly in good spirits as he received medical attention.

The three-time NL Cy Young Award winner and Hall of Fame pitcher remained on his feet but suffered a cut and was bleeding, according to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times.

Koufax, who offers his expertise to the Dodgers at spring training, remained conscious and was smiling as the trainers took him for further examination, Hernandez reports.
