The San Antonio Spurs are interested in acquiring Danny Granger if he is bought out of his contract by the Philadelphia 76ers, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

Granger was traded to the Sixers last week from the Pacers, where he had spent the entirety of his nine-year career. Whether Philadelphia and Granger agree to a buyout will be decided soon, according to Sixers coach Brett Brown. Granger has not yet joined the team, although he did pass a physical following the trade.

The 30-year old Granger was upset upon learning he had been traded from the title-contending Pacers to the 15-42 76ers, and it is believed he would like to play for a team with a chance to win this season.

The Spurs have dealt with injury troubles throughout the season and are looking to increase their depth.
