Celtics forward Gerald Wallace will have surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee, effectively ending his season, according to ESPN's Chris Forsberg.

An MRI revealed the tear Friday, but Wallace said the pain has been going on for some time. According to Forsberg, the soreness began before the All-Star break. He's also dealing with bone spurs in his ankle.

Wallace has been averaging 5.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in 58 games with the Celtics this year.
