The New York Jets cut cornerback Antonio Cromartie, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Cromartie tweeted out goodbyes to the organization, his teammates and Jets' fans.

The cornerback joined New York in 2010. He signed a four-year, $32 million deal before the 2011 offseason, and was due to have a cap hit of $14.98 million for the team in 2014.

The Pro-Bowl corner has recorded 140 tackles and 13 interceptions with the Jets, and only missed one game in his time with the team.
