The Mets are shopping first baseman Ike Davis again, according to a report Tuesday from Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com.

New York's general manager, Sandy Alderson, is revisiting conversations with teams that discussed the possibility of acquiring Davis this past winter, according to Rubin. Among the teams that had expressed interest in him recently this offseason are the Pittsburgh Pirates, Milwaukee Brewers and Baltimore Orioles.

The likelihood of him being traded anytime soon is slim, as the first baseman hasn't played in the Grapefruit League for the past two weeks. Davis, who turns 27 this week, is expected to be the designated hitter Tuesday as he continues to rehab lingering leg pain.

Davis had been recalled by the Mets from Triple A-Las Vegas this past summer. At the time of his demotion, he was batting .161 with five home runs, 16 RBI and a .243 on-base percentage with the Mets.
