The Los Angeles Dodgers placed relief pitcher Brian Wilson on the 15-day disabled list with nerve irritation in his right elbow, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.

Wilson's outing Sunday against the San Diego Padres was less than spectacular, as he allowed all five batters he faced to reach base. He surrendered two hits, walked one and gave up three runs (two earned), wasting an outstanding outing by starter Hyun-jin Ryu.

Ryu left the game with a 1-0 lead eighth-inning lead before Wilson came on to relieve him. The Dodgers lost the game 3-1.

Wilson did not appear on the field during batting practice before Tuesday's game against the Padres, which the Dodgers won 3-2.

Wilson was signed this offseason for $10 million to help stabilize the Dodgers' bullpen and set up closer Kenley Jansen.

CORCORAN: Clayton Kershaw to be evaluated in 2-3 weeks, likely out until May
