Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley will be able to join the team for Game 2 of their series against the Portland Trailblazers after an MRI showed that a collision on Sunday night caused no new damage in his knee, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
Beverley missed time at the end of the season with a torn meniscus on which he chose not to have surgery so that he would be able to play for the team in the postseason. The point guard has earned a reputation as one of the leagues premier backcourt defenders in recent seasons, and will be matched up with All-Star Damian Lillard for most of the series.
