Stephen F. Austin head basketball coach Brad Underwood is considering an offer to take the same job at Marshall University, according to ESPN's Andy Katz.

Katz cites a source as saying Underwood is considering remaining at SFA where he coached the Lumberjacks to the NCAA tournament and could be waiting for an offer from Marshall's Conference USA rival Southern Miss.

In his first season at SFA, Underwood and the Lumberjacks compiled 32-3 record, went 18-0 in the Southland Conference and upset VCU in the NCAA tournament. Their Cinderella season ended in a loss to UCLA in the round of 32.

Underwood took the SFA job after working as an assistant for Frank Martin South Carolina and Kansas State.

Marshall is searching for a coach after buying out the final two years of Tom Herrion's contract in March.
