The Arizona Diamondbacks placed left fielder Mark Trumbo on the 15-day disabled list with a stress fracture in his right foot, the team announced Thursday.

The move is retroactive to April 22. Arizona recalled outfielder Roger Kieschnick from Triple-A Reno to take Trumbo's roster spot.

Trumbo flew home to Arizona to get an evaluation and an MRI revealed the stress fracture.

Trumbo was part of a three-way trade with the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Angels during the offseason. He is hitting .210, with seven home runs, 19 RBIs and has struck out 22 times.
