McDonald's All-American big man Myles Turner announced his commitment to Texas on Wednesday.

Turner, a 6-foot-11, 240-pound five-star center from Trinity High School in Euless, Texas, was ranked by many as the top remaining uncommitted prospect in the Class of 2014.

The Longhorns were considered the favorites to land Turner, with Kansas and SMU close behind. He reportedly also considered offers from Arizona, Duke, Kentucky, Ohio State and Oklahoma.
