The Golden State Warriors have contacted former Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy about their vacant coaching position, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports.

No interview has been scheduled between the two sides as of Wednesday night, but Van Gundy is believed to be interested in the position after declining overtures from the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Van Gundy coached the Magic for five years ending in 2012 following a three stint with the Miami Heat, and has a 378-208 record as a head coach.
