Blue Jays activate Adam Lind (lower back) after three weeks on DL

The Blue Jays have activated first baseman Adam Lind from the 15-day disabled list on Thursday, the team announced.

The 30-year-old, who has 141 homers in nine seasons, hasn't played since April 15, when he experienced tightness in his lower back.

Lind, who has played his entire career for the Blue Jays, is hitting .324 with one home run and six RBIs in 13 games this season. He had 23 homers and 67 RBIs in 143 games last season. Reliever Chad Jenkins was sent to Triple-A Buffalo to make room for Lind on the 25-man roster.

Lind is a career .269 hitter in 870 big league games.
