Joe Torre, who managed the Yankees to four World Series titles, will have his No. 6 retired in August, the team announced on Thursday.

Torre, Hall of Famer Rich "Goose" Gossage, Tino Martinez and Paul O'Neill will be honored later this season with plaques in Monument Park at Yankee Stadium. Bernie Williams will be honored in 2015.

Martinez, O'Neill and Williams were key parts of Torre's championship teams in 1996, 1998-2000.

Torre was unanimously elected to the Hall of Fame along with Bobby Cox and Tony LaRussa by the Veterans Committee in December. The 1971 National League MVP, Torre is currently MLB's executive vice president of baseball operations after 29 seasons managing the Mets (1977-81), Braves (1982-84), Cardinals (1990-95), Yankees (1996-2007) and Dodgers (2008-10).
