Philadelphia Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg was understandably in a bad mood after losing six pounds due to food poisoning from eating a burger from Citi Field's Shake Shack last weekend.

He isn't too pleased with his closer, Jonathan Papelbon, either.

Sandberg was upset last weekend because Papelbon was not available to pitch Sunday's game against the New York Mets. The Phillies lost the game 5-4.

"Well," Sandberg said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. "We need a closer that can go three games in a row and close three games. No question about that."

Papelbon said he was sore and wasn't up to pitching after throwing 21 pitches in the two contests before Sunday.

"I play through a lot of soreness," he said. "I wasn't comfortable with throwing," Papelbon said. "I felt like it could create more injury. Instead of missing 30 or 40 or 50 games, I decided it would be best for my team and my career to maybe sit one out."

Papelbon has an 0-1 record with a 1.76 ERA and 11 saves this season for the Phillies, who at 17-20 are in last place in the National League East.
