Report: Jose Abreu's MRI shows no structural damage, inflammation only

Good news for White Sox fans. The MRI taken on Jose Abreu's inflamed left ankle on Monday revealed just that: It's inflamed and there's no structural damage, according to a tweet from Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago.
The rookie slugger had been experiencing ankle tendonitis that forced him to make an early exit during Saturday's 6-5 road loss to the Astros. He was mobile despite wearing a walking boot.
Abreu has 15 home runs, 42 RBIs and is slugging .595 to lead the American League in all three categories. He has hit 11 doubles as well.
The White Sox are currently 21-24, ahead of only the Cleveland Indians in the AL Central and nine games back of the division-leading Detroit Tigers.
