Former NBPA executive director Billy Hunter has dropped his appeal of a failed civil lawsuit against Derek Fisher and Jamie Wior, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reports.

The NBA players union voted unanimously to remove Hunter in February, 2013 after Fisher, then NBPA president, supported an internal investigation of Hunter. The report, conducted by the Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison law firm, called into question Hunter's contract, possible misuse of NBPA funds and potential conflicts of interest -- including a number of Hunter’s family members --  on the NBPA’s payroll.

Hunter subsequently filed suit against Fisher and his former business manager, Wior, who was hired by the NBPA after Hunter's termination. A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge dismissed most of Hunter's civil claims in January. Hunter has another case pending against the NBPA.
