Orioles outfielder Nelson Cruz remains day to day after X-rays taken Sunday of his left hand turned out negative, Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle tweeted.

The two-time All-Star was forced to leave Sunday's 9-4 win over the Astros in Houston after he was drilled by a Scott Feldman pitch in the third inning. A trainer checked him and he remained in the game after taking first base but he eventually left the field, with David Lough moving to right field and Delmon Young entering to go to left.

Cruz, 33, is hitting .315 this year with 20 home runs and 52 RBI.
