The NFL draft will be moving from its customary home in Radio City Music Hall next year, and could move out of New York entirely. Radio City informed the NFL the venue would not be available in April or May of 2015 to host the event, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported Thursday. He also reported that the finalist cities are New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

The NFL is considering other changes to the draft as well. In 2010, the draft expanded to cover three days.  The NFL has proposed two blocks of time when the draft could be held, which each span four nights, Rapoport reported. The two blocks the league is considering are April 22-25 and April 29 - May 2 with each block running from Wednesday to Saturday.

Brian McCarthy, who works in P.R. for the NFL, tweeted shortly after Rapoport's report surfaced the NFL is indeed considering New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, but that other cities are still possibilities. McCarthy confirmed Rapoport's report on the potential dates.
