Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig is day-to-day after suffering a hip flexor in Saturday's loss to the Rockies, according to the team's Twitter account.

The 23-year-old Cuban sensation sustained the injury while sliding into second base in the top of the fourth inning in an effort to break a double play. He left the field and tried to come back in the fifth inning but was eventually replaced by Scott Van Slyke.

Despite leaving early, Puig, who was named NL Player of the Month in May, extended his on-base streak to 38 games after he drew a one-out walk in the fifth inning before being replaced by Van Slyke.

The Dodgers also lost second baseman Dee Gordon in the game, who is now also listed as day-to-day. He had been experiencing right hip discomfort and was replaced by Chone Figgins. Los Angeles Times reporter Dylan Hernandez tweeted that Gordon said he felt better after receiving treatment and is "confident" he'll be back in a day or two.

The Dodgers are 32-31 -- second in the NL West -- heading into the final game of their series with the Rockies on Sunday.
