Barcelona has held talks with Inter Milan about a move for Zlatan Ibrahimvoic that could see Giovani dos Santos included in an exchange deal in the next few weeks.

The Blaugrana's president, Joan Laporta, dined with his opposite number Massimo Moratti in the Ciutat Contal on Tuesday and the pair discussed possible transfers, among other things.

While Inter is still waiting to confirm a new coach after Roberto Mancini's exit, the club supremo appears to keen to press ahead with some business of his own.

José Mourinho is the clear favorite to take over at the San Siro and he is said to want Didier Drogba to join him from Chelsea and if that happens, then Ibrahimovic's future becomes less secure.

Barça has not made a formal enquiry about the Swede because until now technical secretary Txiki Begiristain had believed that he was basically non-transferable.

Samuel Eto'o's name has also been thrown into the equasion with AC Milan said to be interested too, but if Mourinho takes over at Inter then the Cameroonian striker would not be high on his list of priorities.

Ibrahimovic would add the strength, height and power Barça is looking for, having already been linked to Emmanuel Adebayor and Dimitar Berbatov this summer.

Laporta and Moratti are said to have not discussed things in too much detail and no asking prices were mentioned, but further talks have been planned.
