According to his agent, free agent Nolberto Solano is almost certainly heading for the Los Angeles Galaxy, ending a 10-year run as an English Premier League star.

West Ham boss Alan Curbishley released the Peruvian playmaker at the end of last season and the 33-year-old's future has been in limbo this summer.

Harry Redknapp was eager to bring the veteran to Portsmouth, but appears to have dropped his interest of late. Thus, the player's agent is looking farther afield and insists Solano need look no farther than Los Angeles.

Ruud Gullit's Galaxy, currently lying second in the MLS Western Conference with a game in hand, could look to bolster a midfield already graced by experienced English superstar David Beckham.

"Nol is open-minded about the United States league," agent Phil Smith told SportsYa. "There's real interest there from Los Angeles Galaxy. We've had dialogue with Ruud Gullit and, with everything going well already, he could be there in a week."
