River in must-win Sudamericana clash vs. Chivas

River Plate is in a must-win situation at Chivas de Guadalajara after falling to a 2-1 defeat in Buenos Aires in the first leg of the tie last month. As well as needing a victory, it has to find the back of the net at least twice.

On Monday night, Diego Simeone's side trained at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara training complex. The squad took it easy because of the hot climate.

Simeone has practically confirmed his starting XI, although he is likely to make some final minute changes. Juan Ojeda will replace Daniel Vega in the River goal, despite not being at full fitness.

Oscar Ahumada, on the other hand, felt pain on Monday and is almost out of selection. Leonardo Ponzio will return to the team, while Paulo Ferrari will play in right midfield.

Diego Buonanotte, who took a knock in a recent training session, has recovered and will begin from the kickoff, while Radamel Falcao Garcia and Sebastian Abreu have been confirmed in River's intimidating attack.

River's starting XI will look like the following: Juan Ojeda, Paulo Ferrari, Gustavo Cabral, Facundo Quiroga, Cristian Villagra, Augusto Fernandez, Leonardo Ponzio, Matias Abelairas, Diego Bunonanotte, Radamel Falcao Garcia and Sebastian Abreu.
