MEXICO CITY (AP)-- Colombian forward Carlos Darwin Quintero scored two goals to lead Santos to a 2-1 win over fellow Mexicans Atlante on Wednesday in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions League matchup.

Quintero opened the scoring just five minutes into the match, and sealed the win in the 73rd.

Atlante's Argentine midfielder Gabriel Pereyra scored his team's only goal when he headed in a shot in the 34th minute.

The second leg will be played on April 28 in Cancun, with the winner to face either Cruz Azul or Puerto Rico's Islanders.
