Revs waive Costa Rican forward Fernandez

The New England Revolution announced on Tuesday that they have waived Costa Rican forward Argenis Fernandez.

Fernandez's departure vacates the club's international slot, which will be used for new signing Emmanuel Osei once the Ghanaian defender's international-transfer certificate arrives.

Fernandez was acquired from Santos de Guapiles of Costa Rica's Primera Division in March of last year. However, by July, the 22-year-old had been shipped out on loan to Costa Rica's LD Alajuelense. There, he scored twice in 12 appearances.
