Real Madrid produced another laboured performance to earn a 1-0 win at Recreativo, but all Juande Ramos was concerned about was the three points.

Having seen Barcelona win, the pressure was on Los Merengues, and they duly responded with a win of their own. Speaking at the post match press conference, Ramos said, "No-one wins a league by coincidence, and people must respect the fact that we are keeping up with Barcelona, who are having an extra-ordinary season."

Ramos then analyzed the game, continuing, "It was a fair result. We had chances to score more gals, but we could not take them."

"We suffered in the final minutes, because the opposition can score at any minute."

Finally, he described Recre's performance as "acceptable", finishing with, "in the decisive moments, our quality was imposed."

Real Madrid will now prepare for a derby against Getafe on Tuesday.
