Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac plans to call up Chicago Fire striker Patrick Nyarko after watching him in action for his MLS club last weekend against the defending champion Columbus Crew.

Nyarko has started all six of the Fire's games this season and has a goal and two assists.

"This was his first opportunity to see Patrick," Fire technical director Frank Klopas told the Chicago Tribune. "He wants to bring him in for friendlies to take a closer look. Obviously Patrick is very excited. The good thing about him is that he's a level-headed kid."

Rajevac is overseas on a scouting mission for the Black Stars. Ghana leads its qualifying group for the 2010 World Cup after it beat Benin 1-0 in Kumasi last month.

The Black Stars face a tough match at Mali on June 7 in continuation of the qualifying tournament.
