Boca's Palacio set to join Deportivo La Coruna

Rodrigo Palacio is finally set to emigrate to the Europe, as Deportivo La Coruna has come to a verbal agreement with Boca Juniors over the transfer.

The agent of the attacker, Roberto Depietri, met with Carlos Bianchi, the manager of Boca, for more than an hour and although it has yet to be confirmed, the transfer is more than likely to take place.

According to the Argentine press, Deportivo made a big-money offer for the 27-year-old and Boca can't afford to reject it. The South American giants are hoping to invest with the profit made from the transfer.

For years now Palacio has attracted the attention of several top European clubs, including Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus, but the striker has stayed loyal to Boca.

After its disastrous Copa Libertadores campaign, the club has decided to disassemble their squad. Palacio could be the first of many to leave the club at the end of the season.

Earlier in the year Palacio was on the verge of completing a move to Lazio, but negotiations came to nothing.
