According to published reports in Mexico and Honduras, Ramon Nuñez has left Puebla for Cruz Azul.

Nuñez, who began his career in Major League Soccer, had a breakthrough season for Puebla. In his first season in Mexico, Nuñez had five goals and was a key part of Puebla's attack. He helped the club reach the semifinals.

Cruz Azul, meanwhile, struggled during the Clausura '09 season and changed managers. Enrique Meza left Pachuca and joined Cruz Azul, and to help boost the attack chased after Nuñez from the start. The Honduran international is Cruz Azul's first offseason acquisition.

Nuñez, 23, spent time with FC Dallas and Chivas USA before returning to Honduras for all of 2008. He landed with a relegation-bound Puebla and helped turn the team's fortunes around. --Goal.com
