City hoping to end Tevez saga with $25M offer
Manchester City could be ready to make their big move for Carlos Tevez now that they look set to complete the ?18 million transfer of Roque Santa Cruz from Blackburn Rovers.
According to The Independent, the Eastlands outfit believe that a ?25.5 million deal will be sufficient to seal Tevez's move from Manchester United, whose loan deal expires in 10 days' time, and sources at City are confident that Carlitos will be playing in sky-blue next season.
Although the player's adviser, Kia Joorabchian is unlikely to make any official announcements in the next few days, it is widely accepted that City are the club who can offer the best deal to the company who owns the Argentine's rights, MSI [Media Sports Investment] as well as meet the player's own wage demands and offer him the first team football that he craves.
Tevez has recently ruled out a move to Liverpool while there have been reports that the Red Devils are now prepared to dish out ?26 million to secure the player permanently. It is expected that any deal will only be finalised once Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer to Real Madrid is completed.
