Adriano's spell back in Brazil could be coming to an end within the next few months, according to his agent.

The Brazilian striker has been linked with a return to Italy when his contract expires with Flamengo next May, but Gilmar Rinaldi has suggested that a move could transpire much sooner.

"It is too early to think about renewing the contract with Flamengo," the agent told Terra Esportes. "There is the possibility that Adriano will return to Europe in December, even though his contract with Flamengo expires in May."

Despite the transfer speculation, Rinaldi insisted that Adriano would continue to do his best for his club in order to play his way into Dunga's World Cup plans.

"Returning to the Selecao has made him very motivated," said Rinaldi. "It's crucial that he continues to play well with Flamengo in order to be taken into consideration by Dunga."
