D.C. United signed Manchester United youth product Floribert N'Galula on Thursday. A holding midfielder or defender, the 22-year-old will be available for the 2010 Major League Soccer season.

"We are very excited about the pedigree Flo brings to D.C. United," said United general manager Dave Kasper. "Flo impressed during his postseason trial with us and we feel he has the physical tools and versatility to be very successful in our league. We look forward to his contributions."

Following five seasons with the Manchester United, where N'Galula won the Barclays FA Premier Reserve League Shield in 2005, the Belgian youth international joined FC Randers in Denmark.

Only two appearances later, he scooted off to the Eredivsie with Sparta Rotterdam. In Holland he made 12 reserve appearances before signing with D.C. United. --Goal.com
