American midfielder Mixx Diskerud has been loaned from Norway's Stabaek to Belgium's Ghent.

The 21-year-old played for Norway's youth national teams before making his senior U.S. national team debut in November 2010. He has been part of the American Under-23 training camps ahead of qualifying for the London Olympics.

Diskerud, whose mother is from Arizona, had been with Stabaek since 2008.

Ghent has an option to purchase Diskerud's rights.
