FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) -- Defending champion Borussia Dortmund lost more ground in the Bundesliga when it had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to promoted Fortuna Duesseldorf on Tuesday.

Bayern Munich visits Freiburg on Wednesday and could restore an 11-point lead ahead of Saturday's showdown with Dortmund.

Schalke lost 3-1 at Hamburger SV, Mainz beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-1 for its first win in Frankfurt and Hannover blanked Greuther Fuerth 2-0.

Duesseldorf rallied to clinch the draw with Stefan Reisinger's second goal in two games in the 78th minute. Jakub Blaszczykowski had put Dortmund ahead in the 43rd with a tremendous volley.

Dortmund was without playmaker Mario Goetz, midfielder Ilkay Guendogan and defender Mats Hummels because of injuries.

Schalke once had five points more than Dortmund but is now two behind in third.
