GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) -- Celtic returned to form in the Scottish Premier League with a 4-0 thrashing of Hearts on Wednesday, maintaining the defending champions' one-point lead.

Neil Lennon's side slumped to a 1-0 loss at home to Inverness last time out but was too good for Hearts at Tynecastle, with strikes by Lassad Nouioui and Mikael Lustig combining with Ryan Stevenson's own goal to put Celtic 3-0 ahead after 30 minutes.

Gary Hooper rounded off the win late on as Celtic stayed a point clear of Hibernian, which beat St. Johnstone 1-0 thanks to Paul Cairney's 82nd-minute goal.

Celtic has a game in hand over Hibs.
