Manchester United will play an All Star team drawn from Australia's A-League next year during its first visit to Australia in 14 years.

Football Federation Australia said Monday the match will take place at Sydney on July 28 featuring a full-strength Manchester United squad.

Manchester United last played in Australia, against the Australian national team, in 1999.

The All Stars team will be selected by fans and could include former Juventus star Alessandro Del Piero, currently playing for Sydney FC, and ex-England striker Emile Heskey of the Newcastle Jets.

FFA chief executive David Gallop said the match "will put the A-League on the world stage.''

David Gill, United chief executive, said, "the game and training camp will .... be an important part of the team's preparation for the 2013/14 season.'
