Paris Saint-Germain celebrates Zlatan Ibrahimovic's goal.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped French league leader Paris Saint-Germain to end the year in style with a comfortable 3-0 win over 10-man Brest on Friday.

Brest was a man down for more than an hour after Abdoulwhaid Sissoko was sent off for a two-footed tackle on Ezequiel Lavezzi.

"We're going to have a good holiday because we're at the top of the league after another good performance,'' PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti said. "It wasn't an easy match because of the pitch and our opponent.

"It's the confirmation that we're in form. It was important to win, with the right attitude, by being solid and without conceding a goal. Everything's going well. I want to thank the players, because this last month has been really, really good.''

Ibrahimovic broke the deadlock in the 55th minute with his 18th league goal of the season.

Kevin Gameiro doubled PSG's lead before an own goal by Brest defender Bernard Mendy sealed the result.

PSG is almost certain to remain top before the winter break. It is three points ahead of Lyon and third-place Marseille, which have both yet to play - but which have a far inferior goal difference to PSG
