AC Milan had talks with Kaka's agents on Thursday about bringing the Brazilian back to San Siro.

Kaka's representatives, Gaetano and Dario Paolillo, met with Milan vice president Adriano Galliani at the club's headquarters. Kaka has long been linked with a return to Milan, where he had a golden six-year spell during which he helped it to the Serie A and Champions League titles.

"I have no news to give you today,'' Galliani said after the meeting. But he added: "I really, really liked what Kaka has said.''

Galliani is also negotiating with Real Madrid to allow Kaka to return on loan. However, Italian and Spanish media have reported that Madrid would prefer to permanently offload the former world player of the year.

"There is contact with Real Madrid, but at the moment I have no news to give you,'' Galliani said. "It will be difficult, very difficult.''

A move to bring Kaka back before the start of the season fell through and Galliani said on Wednesday that Milan could not afford his wages.

However, Kaka later hinted he would be prepared to take a pay cut after a flying visit to the city to have dinner with compatriot and current Milan striker Robinho.

The agent of Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli also spent time at Milan's headquarters, but Galliani refused to comment on Mino Raiola's visit.

"It's normal for agents to pass by the headquarters of clubs,'' he said.
