He was quickly apprehended by a steward and led away.

Police in Kent, southern England announced Wednesday that the 17-year-old fan was charged with common assault, and had been released on police bail.

Wycombe took the lead in the 85th minute to secure a 1-0 win at Gillingham.

This season, Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Chris Kirkland was attacked during a second-tier game by a Leeds fan, who was sentenced to jail for four months.
