NOTTINGHAM, England (AP) ? Notts County, the world's oldest professional football club, is still in business after a court dismissed a winding-up order over unpaid taxes.

The club, which was founded in 1862, says the petition brought by HM Revenue and Customs over bills due in December last year "has been dismissed in a matter of seconds'' by the High Court on Monday.

County is in the third tier of English football and narrowly avoided going into administration in 2010.

A club statement released on Sunday, ahead of the decision, said the board would be seeking to recover "all costs for the harm suffered by the football club'' by the HMRC's action.
