Marius Obekop played for the Red Bulls during the preseason.

The winless New York Red Bulls have signed midfielder Marius Obekop (Oh-BEH-cop) and forward Rafhinha (Raff-FEEN-yah) .

The MLS team announced the moves Monday, saying Obekop will be added to the team's roster pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate.

The 18-year-old Obekop had been playing in his native Cameroon where he recently debuted for his country's under-20 team during the African Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

Rafhinha has been playing in Brazil for Toledo since 2009. The 21-year-old also had a stint with the youth squads at Borussia Dortmund in Germany.

The Red Bulls are 0-1-2, with just two points.
