LONDON (AP) -- Queens Park Rangers says it will not comment on the rape allegations against striker Loic Remy because it is a police investigation.

The 26-year-old Remy was reportedly arrested Wednesday on suspicion of rape along with two other men.

Responding to initial British media reports about the arrest, London police confirmed that three men, aged 26, 23 and 22, were arrested at an address in Fulham on Wednesday morning on suspicion of rape. British police don't publicly identify suspects.

QPR says "the club is aware of the allegations regarding Loic Remy, but due to police investigations is unable to comment.''

The Metropolitan Police said a 34-year-old woman "alleges she was raped by three men'' on May 7.

Remy, a France international, joined QPR in January for 8 million pounds (then $12.9 million) but could not help the team avoid relegation from the Premier League.
